Rock Mountain T'ai Chi Ch'uan
Yin Yang

T'ai-chi Ch'uan is translated as "The Supreme Ultimate System of Self-defense." It is an ancient Chinese exercise consisting of slow, relaxed movements for total self-development. For the body, it is an exercise. For the Mind, it is a study in concentration, will power, and visualization. For the soul, it is a system of spiritual meditation. It is also a preventative and curative system of Chinese medicine and the "Supreme Ultimate" martial art.

The curriculum of the Foundation includes training in the yang style short form which consists of 37 postures as developed by Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing.

Push Hands, a two-person exercise based on the movement sequence Grasp the Sparrow's Tail is taught as a foundation for further application of the form as a martial art.

T'ai-chi sword and fencing are also taught much later in the student's training.
