Category error; good luck, good luck
Leaning on Broadway you're down in the muck
on Helligo Corner they threw you the book
And you've taken a pat on the back & the flack
the song of your life has the catchiest hook
but he points to the sky and you're out for a duck
Category error; you're down on your luck
Your sitting on a log. Category error; your out of luck
Abort, retry, fail?
I believe now is the time to bail.
Will anything be left to receive flack?
As the sniggerers mock
and the wrestlers rack
people want to put the pizza back
upon a shelf of dust & lust,oh to embrace this human place?
Those marching monks
chased by felonious flatterers
have arrived in this town
To preach of esoteric matters
They are speaking of bodkins
and imagining new tattoos
They come with ambergris
new aromas to festoon
Do they come to heal us
or to carry our souls away
Peasants as we are
our tithes won't get them far
They present us with a mystery
i have a brother in every man
tho' sisters they want not
For every man that had a son
A war was lost, a heart was won
The eyes of mothers wheep for those lost
For battle is never The greatest plan
Lounging about with David and Veronica
It is Sunday and the rain has kept us cooped up far too long
only the blues squeal out of my harmonica
a reminder of the time we drove west
under a rainy sky, along windy roads
just a hint of a reason for me to see all that was suppressed in me
overwhelmed indignant falsification ripping at the seams of my own frabrication
seems you know me better now, take my hand and let it be
here i am again it seems maybe you are the other peice.
Girls with requisite skills
required to steal hearts
hang out in clubs
and aquire diamonds
by the black spade full
raid the till and
disapper siddleside on a tub
rub the profs the wrong way
