Showing Hood where cut out to fit overflow box

Overflow box (outside portion, with fittings/connectors)

Hose used to connect overflow to sump. I think it's 1 inch inner diameter. It's commonly used for swimming pool filters.

Plastic ends that screw onto the hose above. The fittings are flexible, and stretch VERY SLIGHTLY!. Inner diameter is 1", and they will (with fighting/struggle) fit over 1" PVC pipe.

NOTE: Be sure to test fit PVC and these hoses/connectors at the store, before you buy it all. I'm not 100% on the diameters.

Showing the above hoses attaching to fittings on the top cover of the sump-wet/dry. I'm using the connectors shown above, slip-fit over 1" PVC pipe, which is slip-fit into the PVC Bulkhead fittings shown. Due to low clearance under the stand, I used the angled fittings.

For the return hose, I'm using 3/4" tubing. This is more complex because the same sump/pump is feeding two tanks. The small in-line valve is used to balance to flow between the two tanks.

Here is the 3/4" tubing coming up behind the tank, and going into a right-angle connector. This type of tubing can't bend tight corners. Coming out of the right-angle is another piece of 3/4" tubing leading to a spraybar. The connector is the type used for sprinkler systems.

Here is the spraybar, placed vertically, under the surface to avoid too much water movement.

All of the tubing/hoses/connectors/fittings were purchased at the hardware store (homebase I think). I bought one length of 1" PVC pipe (it's about 10 feet long). I knew I would only need several small pieces, so I cut it in half in the store. It was only a couple bucks. The fitting are all standard PVC pipe fittings, including the ball-valves (two, one on the bottom of the overflow box, and one on the sump return line.
