LET’S LAUNCH BOULDER'S CLIMATE ACTION PLAN! Global warming is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Rising temperatures increase Boulder’s risk of wildfire and drought. The Climate Action Plan will help us reduce these risks through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Initiative 202 proposes that a tax be collected by Xcel Energy, based on electricity usage, to fund the City of Boulder's Climate Action Plan – a thoroughly-researched blueprint for reducing our climate-changing greenhouse gas emissions. An average residential household would pay around $20 per year. Reasons to vote for 202:
